Cup of Joe Glue Book Page

Here I am again, hope you are having a good week. My pain's up so when that happens I try to craft until I drop have to rest. I saw another page in my Puns & Roses Glue Book that was almost done, so I finished it. And it worked, as I'm now ready to sleep despite my pain, so I'll be brief-ish, lol.
I tried something different with this one and I will do it again. I created my background on a full-size Avery sticker sheet that I cut down to my page's dimensions. Then I adhered it to the journal page. I inked the background using Distress Wild Honey and a blending brush. I used a Prima background stamp inked up with a brown Versafine Clair next. I stamped the 4 corners and sides using 2 Technique Tuesday stamps.
Once the background was dry, I attached  pink paper lace across the middle of the page, then some light beige seam lace on top of that. I used a Gecko Galz collage sheet image, rounded the corners and inked the edges with Gingerbread VersaMagic chalk ink. I cut the Spellbinders frame out of a scrap and stamped it using Impression Obsession's Cover-A-Card Wooden plank stamp in the brown Versafine Clair. After adding the image I stamped the Sweet n Sassy coffee beans and the "cup of joe" in Fallen Leaves Versafine Clair. I then traced over the sentiment with black gel pen adding an F (the stamp says cup o joe), then traced over that with white gel pen. I created the little poem in PSE, printed out, cut into strips and inked them with chalk inks. I added two Sizzix heart die cuts and called it done.
A close up of the framed image and my poem. This is one of my favorite Gecko Galz images and I am quite pleased with myself for snapping to another meaning for 'cup of joe', hahaha. I did color the image a tad with my Promarkers. I added pink to the image so I could use the paper lace. :-)
And a final view of the spread (the page on the left was done more than a year ago). It's serendipity that the page colors don't clash. A happy accident. Gotta love that! Thanks for coming by and until next time, stay well and be crafty! xoxo
MY CHALLENGE PLAYLIST:
Impression Obsession, Sweet n Sassy, Technique Tuesday stamps used
I used a stitch stamp on the sides between the corner stamps
I was inspired by the "Wood" to use a wooden plank stamp on my image frame
3 Coffee Beans

  3. **Gasp** so beautiful. Love the sentiment that you used with this gorgeous tea journal page. You've really got a handle for journals. I'm putting two together and struggle with the look I'm going for.

Your second page is wonderful in all the bright colours too.
