Trick or Treat with Outlawz Festive Fridays and LeAnn's World 101

Happy FriYay, hope it's been a good one!  I am popping in to share my design team make for Outlawz Festive Friday's latest challenge, beginning today and running until 9/30. Go HERE for more details about joining us. Our September sponsor is LeAnn's World 101 and I've used the adorable Daisy and Bella image on my make.
LOL, this card very nearly landed in "File 13". See the orange card stock mat? That was the original card base. I live in fear of adhering stuff in the wrong orientation on square cards, and it's smart to be afraid because I glued down the spider web and spider sideways (where the Trick of Treat is and the dangling spider was where the web is now) and no way out of it except to cut the base apart, trim it down and adhere to a new base.

This Splitcoaststamper sketch looked to be perfect for my card: an open space for the girls and a place to put a spider web in the top corner complete with a dangling spider! Had to use it!
So, the green base and orange layer is Bazzill card stock and the purple layer is KI Memories embossed card stock that I edge-distressed and then adhered some of my mom's black lace to before attaching. The striped patterned paper is Doodlebug. The spider web is white card cut with a Spellbinders die and the spiders were cut with a Sizzix die out of black Bazzill shimmering card stash scraps. I cut two in different orientations, then cut a third out of some black dotted stash scrap and adhered to the top spider. I used some shiny silver fiber to attach the bottom spider to the web. I stamped the Crafty Secrets sentiment using Versafine Clair ink.
The inside is matted with two sheets of patterned paper from American Crafts 6x6 Spooky Boo designer paper pad. It looks like solid orange, but...
A close-up of the inside sentiment, a mashup of Inkadinkado and Pink By Design stamps. Here you can see the little tiny spider web pattern a little better...
The back has the orange card layer and more of the striped Doodlebug paper and the KIMemories embossed card on which I have stamped a Lawn Fawn siggie with Versafine Clair ink.
Close-up of the Wink of Stella-silver-painted web, more glittery in real life...
Close-up of the web with the spiders. You can see the little face on the bottom one, lol.
And another...
And the trick or treaters. I colored Daisy and Bella with Promarkers and fussy cut them. I usually will fussy cut the inside areas, but this time I left them and colored with a purple Promarker color-matched to the card they would be on. I think it works almost as well and less work!
A view of the front and back together!
And a final view. Thanks for visiting and may your weekends be dandy! Until next time, Stay Well and Craft On! xoxo

  1. Very cute. I love the spiderweb. I have a habit of gluing on my top layer to the card upside down on square cards. What a nuisance to try to carefully peel it off so I don't ruin it.

  11. Nicely coloured. I have cards that land in File 13, and I end up taking them out to take a photo because I "need" to post four times a month min. It's my file 13 cards that quite often have the most comments. I'm obviously out of touch with what people really want. LOL.

So glad this didn't make a drop into File 13. It's adorable, even if you had to rearrange things.
