Happy YOU Day Birthday for Outlawz and All Dressed Up

Hi again. I'm trying to get caught up on my postings in my post-hurricane-emo state of mind, so please bear with me. It's past time for my design team make for the new Wednesday Sketch Challenge which began yesterday over at Outlawz and will run for 2 weeks until 9/28. Click HERE to find out more. We are sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps and I've used the adorable digi Country Girl with the current sketch to make my card.
These patterned papers make me happy! I used Basic Grey's Phoebe 12x12 paper collection to cut my card base and layer my card. I printed the digi on Springhill Digital card and colored her with Promarkers (I colored the butterfly with Winks of Stella glitter pens). I cut my image with a Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Rectangle die and matted that onto another layer that I cut in quarters and spread apart a bit.  I used my WRMK Corner Chomper to round all paper corners.

Click on either image to make larger. Here's the current challenge sketch next to my card. As you can see, I followed it generally well. 😄
I chose these papers because of the boho vibe and the floral similarity to those in the image. I chose to add a white crochet flower as the floral sketch element, layering a pink paper flower with a blue brad on top. I added enamel dots to some of the flowers on the patterned paper. I added a little white flower die cut from my stash as well. The MFT "Happy You Day" sentiment was cut apart and arranged over a Clear Dollar label die cut from the Phoebe paper on which I'd added a large "you" with stickers from the Phoebe collection. And the vertical elements on the left behind the focal image were cut with my scalloped deco scissors.
Inside the card I used some adorable bird paper from the Phoebe collection, corners rounded, and Clear Dollar and Spellbinders die cut mats for Uniko sentiments stamped in Versamark and heat-embossed in white powder.
On the back of the card, the card's mat layers are as on the front, and I've added my Lawn Fawn stamped sentiment on one the collection's tags with a couple more little white die cut stash flowers.
Love taking this shot every time. I think it's why I finish the backs of my cards. Well, I think it looks cool anyway. 👀😁

Close-up of the focal image with the scalloped framing and crochet flower...
And speaking of which, the flowers are several years old, a pack from American Crafts' Dear Lizzy...
And a close-up of the little sentiment grouping on front.
And a final view. I am sending this to one of my 20-something nieces for her birthday later this month. Hope she will like it. Hope you know I appreciate your visit and best wishes for a great day! Until next time, Stay Well and Craft On! XOX

I have missed two of your cards. I have to get hopping. I've been watching my grandson who is out of school until Monday. Apparently, he doesn't want to behave in school. It is a private school so they don't have to take the same behaviors that a public school has to deal with. Anyways, this card is so cute. I love how you photograph all the details. Photographing my cards is what I absolutely hate the most about getting my cards online. So for me it's as few photos as possible. I love seeing others do them, though.

I agree with you Aimeslee this is HAPPY through and through, with happy colours, image and design, I LOVE it. Your photography as always is spot on and shows up the gorgeous details on your cards.

Hope the post hurricane stress is getting better? Keep safe and well. I hope Arthur is behaving, enough going on with that too?

There's lots I like about this card! The colours, the crochet flower and the rounded corners in particular. I often round the corners on my mats and layers.

This card had me at "hi again..." Love the bright pink and green. The bg paper is one I used to own. Excellent job colouring. It looks like a pre-coloured digi. The gras blends bleautifully.
