A Happy Hello

A Happy Birthday Hello from me and I'm sharing my roses with you today! This card makes me feel happy. I love the juicy deep pinks and purple-pinks of the color fuchsia. The Rainbow Card Challenge this month has been Fiercely Fuchsia and I wanted to play.

Sketch n Scrap #163 was the map for my A2 size card design. The sketch screams texture to me, so I wanted some on my card.

I paired a stenciled roses piece with the gold embossed paper as my base mat. Over that I laid a gauze ribbon and 4 fussy-cut, stamped, gold heat-embossed and painted roses with a few die cut leaves painted and colored.

I think this card really began with these roses. I told Honey I wanted silk roses for Valentine's Day instead of real ones. So he got me two different kinds and I've been enjoying them, so much so that I experimented with coloring some modeling paste with Dylusions Funky Fuchsia ink and then applying it through a Stamplorations stencil.

This is what it looked like after the stenciling and then water coloring in the purple background and outlining the roses with gold metallic water color.

I cut that piece down into two long pieces, using the larger one here and pairing it with some heavy-embossed gold foil paper I found in my stash.

The 4 roses were stamped with VersaMark and heat-embossed with gold ep, then fussy cut and water colored in Dylusions Funk Fuchsia ink. I die cut some leaves and painted them in green metallic water colors. Then I colored the leaf inlays with a ProMarker. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark, heat-embossed in gold and then painted with the ink before die cutting it.

The back has an EKSuccess siggie stamped on water colored scrap over gold foil and a Stampin Up card stock base mat.

You put so much effort and detail into every single card that you create - it amazes me!This isn't a 30 minutes card design by any means. I love all the texture and details - and that fuschia colour - WOW! Hope you had a terrific birthday :)

Those roses you received from your husband are real, and the nice thing is, you can see them all year long. Happy birthday sweet friend.

Your stenciled work is a work of beauty. A lot of love went into the making of this. You fooled me because I thought it was DP when I first looked at your card.

You have a nac for making unique cards with sketches. Another beauty.
