Happy Sunday!
Hope everyone is staying cool.
We've been staying inside mostly.
I'm researching the little towns/cities around Austin and with each one I start out all excited and then upon delving deeper discover the negative stuff.
Facebook and Reddit groups are goldmines of info.
Keeping copious notes and can already see it will be a process of elimination, but 2 places are still standing up well. Still have a handful more to investigate, lol.
So anyway, here's a birthday card for a guy friend of ours that was mailed out recently.
I used Autumn Barns digital clip art from Digital File Graphics and sheets from the 8x8 Tim Holtz Idea-ology Collage Paper Stash, which I cut using Crafters Companion and Tutti dies. The sentiment is an I/O die.
I used this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my layout design. Also have a Christmas card to share, another using the Gecko Galz digital collage sheet squares matted with white card cut using Spellbinders Postage die. I've used sheets from Tim's 8x8 Noel Paper Stash here and a snowman die cut from an old calendar. Paper snowflakes and red velvet ric rac to finish.
I used this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my layout design.I have been finding stuff to throw away and to donate, so that's rounding out my time. I got cocky and revved up my exercise machine time and am now limping around with sore calves and arms, lol. Otherwise, all quiet on the southwestern front.
Thanks for the visit and see you next Sunday!

A fabulous guy card Aimeslee! xx
ReplyDeleteMoving sounds like a whole lot of work. And you have to deal with picking a place to move to also. I guess it forces you to decide what you really want. Which is good, And nice cards today. I like the barn, and those great autumn colors. It's going to be here sooner than later, and at my house it's going to feel like fall tomorrow. Have a super week. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards my friend. It's good to see you posting again. I hope your research helps you find a good place to live soon. Have a great week my friend.
ReplyDeleteP.S. - Thanks for the link to Digital File Graphics. Another great etsy store to shop at. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's always a process of elimination, isn't it? :-) It's good that you do have candidates that are better than the rest. I really love the birthday card--the colors, the barn, the layout, they're all awesome! xo
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you're utilizing those wonderful SCS sketches! I love your Autumn barn card so much! Your cute festive design with those postage stamps is too cute also! I need to remember to get into SCS and play with some of those challenges! Moving is such hard work and sometimes finding just the right place can be stressful too, so hope you find exactly what you're looking for! HUGS
