New Baby Card and Wrapped Gift Card

Hello and Happy Thursday to you.
I was going to post this earlier in the evening, but we've been hunkered down in our hallway with thunderstorms, 80 mph winds and sideways rain. All clear now and thankfully no damage. But almost a million folks in Houston area are without power and lots of damage.
This time we did hear the freight train sound of a tornado, but in the distance.
It was another scary one, especially hitting at dusk.
But, onto the matter at hand!
Our oldest nephew and his wife are welcoming their first child (a little girl) next month, so I made this to send them along with a VISA gift card that I wrapped.

I used this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my A7 layout design.

SUPPLY LIST:
Basic Grey Oh Baby Girl 12x12 designer papers, including the card base
Springhill Digital card stock to print image
La-La Land Crafts Sleeping Baby Marci digital image and sentiment
Promarkers to color image and outline papers
Saltwater Taffy Distress ink for stippling image background
Spellbinders Mega Curved Nested Rectangles dies
Art Impressions Garden mini die (3 tiny pink flowers)
Raspberry Tart Stickles (for flower centers)
Lawn Fawn For You die (goft card wrapping)
Glitter gel pen (gift card wrapping)

Back of card with layers of BG dp outlined with Promarkers.
Inside card, a self-composed and framed sentiment printed from PSE.

I wrapped the 4x5 VISA gift card package in pink tissue, then adhered a piece of the BG dp to the front and outlined it with the magenta Promarker. Then I cut a Lawn Fawn For You die out of the BG dp and adhered it to the center, outlining it with a purple glitter gel pen. I'll include it loose inside the card.

And last look at my card.
Thanks for the visit!

CHALLENGE LINK UPS:
A newborn baby is small; also, tiny flowers embellies and on paper
I use sketches a lot and the one I've used for this card is a favorite because it allows a good-sized image to be featured as the focal point.
Used the colors in the photo and flowered paper

  1. It sounds like a scary time. I saw on the news you were having more bad storms. You would think after this spell you'd be due some calm weather. (I'm sure you wish it.) That's an adorable little one on your card, and it's a pretty card too. I bet it's exciting to have a little join your extended family. Thanks for linking up to TIOT. And I hope you have a quiet day and night (or several). hugs-Erika
