Happy Saturday, everyone!
I'm posting the birthday card I made for Honey now because tomorrow he turns 72.
You may know that he loves to cook so I went with that theme this year.
I found this color clipart vendor on Etsy, ImagineTheArtDesign, and used their Tapas Watercolor clipart images, along with circle dies and a Pink Fresh sentiment stamp and die. I created the top sentiment strip in PSE. I also added 4 QuicKutz photo corner die cuts to the red paper layer, which is on a Kraft layer and a navy card base.
I used this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my 6X6 layout design.
I matted both images with navy card stock cut with the circle dies and I stamped the bottom sentiment on Kraft with Versafine Clair Bluebell ink, heat-embossed it with clear powder, then used the matching die to cut it.
On back, I added a sheet of Echo Park dp from their 6X6 Coffee paper pad and I added a strip created when I trimmed the sheet down. I stamped the sigg with Versamark and heat-embossed it with white powder. Inside the card, I added a framed page I created in PSE which includes 2 more of the clipart images. I created the sentiment inside as well.
Last look.
Thanks for visiting and have a great rest of your weekend.

ReplyDeleteBack for an official FQ HomeStyle Kitchen participation thank you! The images are fantastic and the colors remind me of classic diner looks from the 1950s-1960s eras!! I wasn't around for the 50s but came in at 1962! :) --Becca
ReplyDeleteI love the cooking theme, and I hope he didn't have to cook on his own birthday (unless of course he wanted to. I like to make my own birthday cake, so maybe he wants to cook his celebration dinner.) I hope you both enjoyed the day and the weekend too. Happy new week. hugs-Erika
