Hey there, hope everyone is doing well.
I'm linking up just this 4x6 piece to Sunday Postcard Art's Vessels theme, hosted by Cindy.
Now on to the card. I thought the 4X6 piece would make a great guy card as the focal image. I left off a sentiment for now until I know the recipient as I can go serious or punny with this.
SUPPLY LIST:
White and light blue card stocks
Scrap of Magenta designer paper on back
Technique Junkies Van Gogh's Sailboats stamp
Versafine Clair Paradise Blue ink
Clear embossing powder
Crafters Companion 5x7 Ocean Waves embossing folder
Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink
Dina Wakley 6x9 Mighty Waves stencil
Water droplet dots
I chose this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my 6X8 layout design.
I did heat embossing (sailboats), dry embossing (the top waves under the sailboats) and stenciling (bottom layer). Also kept it CAS and monochrome.
On back, a scrap of some pretty water-themed designer paper and a leftover strip of stenciling from the front.
Close-up to show the textures of the embossing and waterdrops.
And final view.
Thanks for the visit and have a great FriYay!

ReplyDeleteYour 4x6 piece for Sunday Postcard Art's Vessels theme is stunning, and it indeed makes for a perfect focal image on a masculine card! The combination of heat embossing, dry embossing, and stenciling creates wonderful textures, and the monochrome color scheme adds a sophisticated touch. Leaving the sentiment off for now allows for flexibility in tailoring it to the recipient's taste. Great job on this artistic creation!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Super design, texture, and stencilling, Aimes. A fabulous masculine card. What ever sentiment you add puny or serious will suit this design. Love it. x
