Twas the Night Before Christmas...

Happy December! I hope everyone is well and busy enjoying the season.
I'm happy to be guest designing there for a prior win and I'm always happy to use a My Besties image in my art! I've made a 7.5 X 8-inch home Deco piece to display on our foyer table. I almost squealed with delight upon finding this very old designer paper that complements the image wonderfully with all the sugar plum candies. And I chose the die cut to mat the image because it looks like a bed frame, so you are looking down on her sleeping and dreaming in her bed. I also added a few dozen tiny clear rhinestones to the designer paper in the white spaces to catch the light.
On display....
Supplies Used:
Recollections Heavyweight card stock base
Doodlebug Glitter card stock
Springhill Digital card stock
Doodlebug Designer Papers
Promarkers and glitter/gel pens to color image and sentiment strip
Sugarloaf SeeD's sentiment stamped with Versamark Ink and heat-embossed with white powder
Spellbinders A7 Heirloom Legacy die for bed frame
Sizzix TH Tattered Banner Sizzlit Strip die for sentiment
White Lace and clear rhinestones from my stash

I chose this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my layout design, resizing to 7.5x8" in PSE.
For this week's Rain's Art & Dinner Date, I thought I'd share our unconventional Thanksgiving meal from last week. Honey made air fryer pork ribs in his new oven and we had scalloped potatoes, greens  and corn muffin with them. Everything was delicious and as we are not big turkey fans we never missed it.
That's it for me today. Thanks for visiting and Good Weekend Wishes!

  5. Your sleeping Bestie is a delight, sweet, colorful and well composed. And she does look perfect on the table top. As for your Thanksgiving dinner, I am tired of Turkey too, but my kids are all stuck on the tradition ... so, turkey it was for us. I love your dinner and would have much preferred what you had, especially the corn bread. Tis the season for fun, joy and reflection ... Enjoy :)

  9. Cute card! I love that Christmas poem. I shocked my grandson when I recited the entire poem to him this week. He was even more surprised when I knew the entire 12 Days of Christmas. He, kids think we don't know anything! I love that border on your wallpaper! My entire house is stenciled. I am so upset. We are painting all the rooms in the spring, they desperately need it. All my stenciling will be gone. I even stenciled the outside of my shower door to match the stenciling and counted cross stitched light switch covers to match also. I will miss it all. Since my spine collapse I can no longer stand on a ladder with both hands up in the air to stencil. I have already thrown away my stenciling paints and brushes. Oh well, my stenciling will only remain in my memories!

  14. This image is so sweet Aimeslee. I bet she is dreaming of the all the goodies Santa will bring. I like how you also used that treat filled background paper. Is it another one from the stash pile? (I have lots of those.) And I like the white lace you added too. Your Thanksgiving meal looks yummy to me. A turkey for 2 is so much food. We went to my sister-in-laws home on Thanksgiving so we had no leftovers, but last weekend in the grocery store they had leftover turkeys cut in half the long way. We picked one up and roasted it, and that half turkey has given us 4 meals. It was only 7.5 pounds too. I've had my turkey fix for certain. Happy Sunday to you. Hope all is well. hugs-Erika
