Hello, hope all is well with everyone. We are hoping to get some rain sometime in the next week. We need it so badly. Honey and I act like clocks that need winding back up. I just cannot summon the energy to do much of anything for long. I did want to get this additional page in my glue book journal done for a number of challenges, so I'm sharing it today.
The theme of this glue book is wordplay. Wikipedia has a list of forms of wordplay and I have found it invaluable for inspiration. I've found that I'm fond of using figures of speech as double entrendres, as I have done here, actually twice. The underwater background is a Gecko Galz digital paper I printed and then took a small round brush and painted the circles in the pattern with some gesso to lighten and haze them a bit. I then had some leftover QK swirls cut out of water droplets paper that I added. I also printed the text at the top and stippled it with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink and stippled around the outside edge of the page as well. I fussy cut the Gecko Galz seahorse and girl and the steampunk seahorse and ran a black Promarker around them before gluing down. I hunted through my old letter stickers to find 2 sets that had enough s's and i's for the bottom sentiment. Then I used 2 different punches to make the fishies with some of the Perfect Pearls paper leftover from the stamped ghost yesterday.
And a final view. Thanks for visiting me, have a great rest of your day. XXO
MY CHALLENGE PLAYLIST:
I also used a digital image from GG's Turtle Bay ATC Set for the background
The steampunk seahorse is made of a combination of gold and silver-colored metals and the little fishies were punched from a silvery paper I'd coated with Perfect Pearls.

I like these seahorses. I like the steampunk and the one with the merboy on his back. I guess that's what you call the boy on his back. The paper has lots of great colors too. This is perfect for Mia's challenge, and I'm glad you could join us for Mia's challenge. I hope you get some rain as they predict. It's raining here now and I hope it is enough actually water the gardens. Have a great end of JUne. hugs-Erika

I love how you titled the post. I also like how you created the two different sea horses. This was a very clever way to show both these sea horses together. Thanks so much for sharing these with us at Art Journal Journey using Mia's theme.

Well, this is awesome and I love the two versions of sea horses. I am not familiar with the process you described so I probably don't have a real appreciation for what it took for you to put this together, but the results speak for themselves. I am impressed :) Glad you joined us at Rain's, hope we see more of you ...
