Time for Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge

Happy Hump Day! A new sketch challenge begins today at Outlawz and I have my DT make to share with you.
Our sponsor this month is Di's DigiStamps. I had her adorable image Together Home Forever Mice in my files, and as this Sunday is our 35th wedding anniversary, I made a card for Honey with it. I chose Craft Consortium's Over the Hedge collection papers. The image is cutesy but I think the flora papers match the image's mushroom well and the colors are good for a man. A touch of mush but not too much mush, lol. Say that 3 times fast, heehee 😁

At left is our sketch for this challenge, which serves as inspiration for the challenge. As long as we can see that you used the sketch, feel free to change it's dimensions and/or orientation as you need. I've shown it next to my card so you can easily see how I followed it.
I printed out the image on Springhill Digital and colored it with Promarkers, then fussy cut it. I ink-edged the base mat paper with some dark olive green chalk ink. I added two index card cut triangles at opposite corners per the sketch and layered on a couple of green MFT die cut photo corners. Then I found a dark red paper scrap in my stash and used an Avery Elle die to cut 4 hearts. The center green leaf paper has a Spellbinders Classic Circle die cut out of it and I layered the image over that. I used Crimson Versafine ink to stamp all the sentiments, clear powder to heat-emboss them and Bundled Sage Distress ink to stipple the paper. I used a Clear Dollar oval label die to cut out the Sweet n Sassy Happy Anniversary sentiment and hearts. I trim-cut the top MFT and bottom Verve "Together" sentiments with a ruler and knife.
I composed a personal private message for inside, so I am only sharing the back. I used the same mushroom flora paper as on the front to mat the back. I added the circle I had left over after die cutting it out of the front leaves paper, a strip of the other side of the mushroom flora paper (love those cute hedgies) and a stamped and punched siggie I inked with some Bundled Sage Distress ink.
And a final view. I hope he likes it. I love how it looks like the micey couple are relaxing and enjoying looking out on their flora meadow landscape au natural. Thanks for visiting me today. Take good care out there! xoxo

MY CHALLENGE PLAYLIST:
I used patterned paper with flowers front and back and used one of Di's images
I used the colors + heat-embossed all the sentiments
The mushroom house image has big spots and is colored with Promarkers
I've used a focal digi linked above in post

  8. Those little mice could not be sweeter, Aimes! Such a darling image for many occasions - like friendship or love. Your trademark use of papers and collage elements always causes me to take a deeper look into each corner of your cards. The little critters on the back side are so cute! Fabulously done! xx
