Hey there, everyone. Happy Monday to you. Hope you are doing well. We are still suffering with our Spring allergies. Honey has red puffy eyes from his and my equilibrium is off due to my allergy meds on top of the arthritis meds...and I fell. No sprains or broken bones (thankfully!), I'm only nursing a bruised left knee and foot with bruised and swollen toe tops. Still can't figure out what I tripped over. If it's not one thing, then it's another, sheesh! Anyway, once again, so blessed to have a hobby to escape into! 😌
I've been working on design team stuff to share later in the week, but I did stop and finish this card to share now since it fits a few current challenges. Kraft card base and KI Memories coated vellum papers cut using CC Die'sire Create-A-Card Stacey dies. Stamplorations bells and sentiment stamped with Versamark and white-heat-embossed on kraft cut with a Spellbinders Labels 10 die.
Here's the inking drying. I used a stencil brush to apply white pigment ink to the edges of the Kraft base card, then white paint flicked and splattered over that using a small round brush. Same with the Kraft focal card, and I used a liner brush to paint the bow with the Brilliance Pearlescent Purple ink, which I also used to ink-distressed the paper edges. I used a white gel pen to outline the focal card and also a white Posca paint pen along the entire edge, so that it looks like a double outlining but one with ink and one with paint.
After I adhered the focal card layer, I used a gold Wink of Stella glitter brush pen to color in the bells. I had to have some glitter! Last step was glue-dotting 3 holographic snowflakes.
Inside I adhered two more of the Stacey die cuts, one cut from KI Memories paper and the other with Springhill Digital. On that I stamped the Stamplorations sentiments using Purple Delight Versafine Clair ink.
The back has more die cut KI Memories paper layers and a stamped and punched siggie I loosely stencil-brushed with the purple Brilliance ink. Both papers were ink-distressed as well.
This angle shows the shimmer of the vellum paper, the paint splatters and inking ("snow-dusting"), and the pearlescent shine on the bow, as well as the glitter on the bells.
Here you can better see the bells and bow - the glitter, white-heat-embossing and the way the snowflakes pick up the light. Okay, confess: have you begun singing the song in your head yet? 😁😁
And the final view. I just love the look of white on Kraft. Another Christmas card done, yay! And I got to stamp and play with my inks and paint a bit, too. Win-win! Thanks for stopping by and I hope your week is a good one. I'll be hobbling through mine and praying I don't stub my hurt toes, lol. XOXI stamped Stamplorations' Jingle Bells image and sentiment, and used text papers

Sorry to hear you've been in the wars, hope you are fully recovered soon. Anyway as you say you can always find distraction in making a card. Love the purple with the kraft and the white embossing. Thanks for sharing at STAMPlorations. :)
ReplyDeleteAimeslee: Thank you so much for your entry support of MTTCC!! Your card is fantastic! I personally love purple in any of its tones and shades and especially when it's paired with silver. Lovely wintery bells card! --Becca/DT
ReplyDeleteI love your Christmas card Aimeslee! Easy on the knee though. I've fallen on my knees more than I'd like to admit. To this date I still don't know what I keep tripping over - probably my own two feet!
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous festive card Aimeslee! I love the colours and design.
ReplyDeleteHope you and hubby are feeling better soon.
And thanks for the link to Jennifer and Donny. I've been a fan of hers since I first saw 13 Going On 30, one of my favourite films.

Hi Aimeslee,
ReplyDeleteSorry to read about your fall. So glad that nothing was broken. But I know the feeling of not really understanding how it happened. Welcome to the club. Love the card - especially the glitter and the little details. I do not know how you cover so much of your cards with your wonderful artwork.
Your card to me is still up in pride of place and will be there for some time. I may even have to dust it.
Hugs and hope you feel much more betterer soon. (family saying).
