Happy Weekend and I hope this finds all of you well.
Here is my second card using a Fred She Said Designs' pre-colored Nuthatch image. This time in traditional Christmas card style, even if it's not your traditional colors.
I chose this Splitcoaststampers sketch for my design layout, resizing to 6x6". I did not go with one patterned paper collection with this card. I pulled from my Christmas scraps box, which is close to overflowing. The darker green greenery pattern is a scrap (I'm guessing Magenta), as is the paper on back (I'm guessing Basic Grey Fruitcake).
I did create one patterned paper layer, though: the base mat. I used Impression Obsession's Pine Bough Cover-A-Card stamp, which has a 5.75" square surface, using Versafine Clair Green Oasis ink to stamp on Springhill Digital white card. Then I colored in the light blue with a Promarker. Then I dotted all around with darker blues and matted on SU green card on white card base.
I kept everything blue, green and white to play off my beautifully precolored image, and discovered this really makes the white pop! I found a scrap of dark blue in my box and stamped a Lawn Fawn sentiment with Versamark and white-heat-embossed it. Then I got my snowflake thumb punch and made some snowflakes to finish the front.
Inside, I stamped a Pink Persimmon corner border 4 times and the Stamplorations sentiment.
The Back has more scraps from my box and a colored and punched Technique Tuesday stamped siggie.
And the final view. Thanks for visiting me today and until next time, may the Craft Karma Train always stop at your station. 👏 XOX

Thank you for the birthday card! I love it. It's such a beautiful card. My youngest grandson even commented that he liked it. He asked if that was supposed to be me on the front. I said yes and he gave me this weird look. Little shit! I love this card you did with the Fred She Said design. I have used the pre-colored on one of my cards last year and I think I will do a few of them next year. It's such a great image.Your cards are always so well designed. I have been so busy homeschooling that I haven't been keeping up with my commenting so I'm off to see what else you've done.
ReplyDeleteAimeslee, the composition of your card is just stunning and is surpassed only by the wonderful way in which your colors are integrated throughout the design!
ReplyDeleteThanks, for inspiring us at A Place To Start!
