Put On Your Party Dress

A happy Monday to all, hope you are all well.
Let's see...I made this as a Christmas-y New Year's card and have left the inside blank for now. It began with the 6x6" sketch below and this month's Gecko Galz challenge image. I pretty much chose everything to accent the amazingly beautiful image. The MFT sentiment was stamped and heat-embossed.

I chose this month's Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 Sketch #221, but turned it 90 degrees clockwise as shown to accommodate the image.
My card base is cut from Bazzill 12x12 shimmering winter white card stock. On top of the Making Memories red paper layer is a lattice pattern Spellbinders French Flair Card Creator die cut with Crafter Companion shimmering cream card. I've embellished the card with a green silk leaf ribbon and red mirror card flowers cut with a CAS-ual Fridays Four-Petal die topped with flower sequins. In one corner is a red mirror card photo corner cut with an MFT die.
The Making Memories patterned paper I used on front and back is a luscious deep red with pink floral accents. I really wanted to use the paper but didn't like the pink with my image. So it occured to me to use a Sakura gold shadow gel pen to color over the pink. It was actually quite relaxing to do and didn't take that long, although my writing hand went a bit numb once or twice so I just took breaks. 😏
The back has the gel-penned patterned paper, with a stamped EK Success siggie.
A close-up to show all the shiney stuff.
And a final view. Thanks for visiting me today. Stay well and have a crafty day! xoxo
