Hey there, everyone, Happy Halloween! How's your weekend going?
I got my assignments done and took my breather: I played in my faux travel notebook again and made a spread. I even made it more like a scrapbook layout this time and used a really old pic of Honey and me. We'd been married 2 and 1/2 years and Katy was 14 months old. LONG time ago, lol. Anyway, we used to have Halloween costume parties back then and one year we dressed up as clowns, but then it took us 2-3 days to get all the make-up off afterwards. So that was the last time we were ever clowns, which was a shame because our costumes were pretty fabulous. Now, as soon as I can get focused enough to write that in much fewer words, I'll fill in the journaling spot, lol. That's why it's still blank. π
For my design I used the latest sketch over at TN Time with Lisa and Lori. Lisa's challenge is the sketch and Lori's added use orange and a label.
All patterned papers used are from my Halloween stash...I think Making Memories and DCWV but don't hold me to that. The title was made with alpha stickers and the collage sheet images are all Gecko Galz. The red label is a Jenni Bowlin stamp on red paper. The clown is a Basic Grey stamp. The jack o'lantern is an Art Impressions mini-die. The white flourish is a Verve die.
The Fig. 1 label and the journaling card are Daisy D and I stamped the Basic Grey clown on the card. I also created the Clowning Around subtitle in PSE and then stamped a 7Gypsies label around it and cut it out. The black trim edging the photo is a Paper Trey Ink border die. The black zig-zag circle is an Avery Elle die. And a final view. I learn so much every time I do these spreads. This time I forgot to put a little green on the righthand side, since I have some on the left. And, creating clusters is hard! I need to make mine tighter. Thanks for coming by and bet wishes for a fun and safe Halloween, XOXMY CHALLENGE PLAYLIST:
I used Gecko Galz digital collage sheet images

I think this is a super spread for Tracey's challenge at AJJ Aimeslee. That is a great picture of you and your husband as clowns. It is fun to have a partner in costume, isn't it? This page is fun for Halloween too. I like that bright green ouija board piece you added. Thanks so much for sharing with us at AJJ. And have a wonderful but safe Halloween also. Hugs-Erika

Hi Aimeslee. I love all the many bits and pieces you have used but my special favourite is the image of the pumpkin 'cave' with the cats creeping out of it. Did you know that Halloween started in Ireland?
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your scrapbook page.
