Happy Purr Day: Guest Design for Outlawz Monday Greetings Sponsored by Leann's World 101

Hello! Happy Monday and today is the start of a new Monday Greetings challenge at Outlawz. The challenge theme is Sentiment + Flower Power, the dates for play are from today 3/29 to 4/11 and you can enter 3 different projects. I am guest designing for this challenge and have a really cute birthday card to share using images from our sponsor, LeAnn's World 101

My butter yellow A7 card base is SU and the designer papers are from the DCWV 12x12 Collage Art Stack, which features glittered glossy card stock that looks collaged. I've used 3 images of LeAnn's World 101: the main image called Marilyn and two cats, Tiger and Caite. I've colored all images and sentiments with Promarkers and Pitt Artist Pens. The sentiments were designed by me in PSE.

I used SplitCoastStampers sketch SC530, resizing to A7 in PSE, then following as is.

I die cut a bunch of tiny flowers from some pink scrap using Tim Holtz's Tropical Thinlits to border my wonky handcut sentiment circle. I dotted each flower center with some yellow Viva Decor Pearl Pen and I placed 3 tiny flower rhinestones inside the sentiment. I cut an Avery Elle dotted fishtail banner out of the pink scrap and layered on a piece of flower ribbon, dotting each flower center again with the Pearl Pen.

This card is for one of my high school friends who is turning 65 soon. She's the closest to a cat lady that I know, lol. She only has a few but they are her family, so I know she'll enjoy this. I added layers of tiny paper flowers from my stash topped with a rhinestone for Marilyn's hair, and I used some very old MAMBI scrapbooking border stickers to accent the sketch's off-center edge. I colored the border stickers with various Pitt Artist Pens to get a better color match with my other card elements.

On the card's inside, I matted it with more of the Collage Art card stock, then added a sentiment created by me in PSE. I used very light  pink ink to hand-stamp a border of balloons and party confetti (stamps are so old I forgot who made them, maybe Stampendous).

The back has the same card stock as the front, with a hand-stamped siggie from I/O.

Just had to share another view of this card stock. Isn't it cool?

And a final view. I had so much fun creating with these cute images and many thanks to Outlawz for inviting me. Thanks for visiting and have a great day! XXO

  2. So cute. Cute, Cute, Cute! You're cat-loving girlfriend will be smitten with this card. I love all that bright pink, and how you have paper in the banner instead of a sentiment. I'm going to tuck that into the back of my head.

  7. I love that you always have all the details for your cards. How do you possibly remember all the manufacturers. I couldn't begin to tell you who makes what except for markers and pencils. This card is beautiful! I love all the details, especially the flower ribbon. Perfect card for a cat lady!
