Art Journal Playtime!

A happy hello full of sunshine to you! Hope your week went well. I've been needing some play time, so I created a spread in one of my art journals. My fingers are hurting right now, so no commentary unless I add some later. Enjoy my ode to Spring!

Vera Lane digi stamp, Newton's Nook stamps, dies and stencils, Stamplorations die, Crafters Companion and Funky Fossil stencils, my mom's decorative fabric trims, fabric gaffer tape, ribbon, old Doodlebug Just My Type alpha stickers, BG Lily Kate tag, lots of acrylic paints and layers, Pitt, Flair, Gel pens, Promarkers, Wink of Stella, Stickles, computer-generated sentiment my words. (I looked for quotes about Spring and this popped into my head instead.)

My tag I made from a Basic Grey Lily Kate tag. I'm showing the back of it to show how I made the tag a pocket on my page. I have added my hidden journaling into this pocket about being able to enjoy Spring again after spending decades as a tax accountant having to pretend Spring did not exist...

Close-ups!

And a final view of the spread. Thanks for visiting and happy weekend! xoxo

MY CHALLENGE PLAYLIST:
3.   Creative Artiste March #69: AMMG -- #1/3 The mediums I used are: acrylic paint, india ink, pencil, markers, ribbon, fabric tape, glitter and paper.
4.   Outlawz Color Tuesdays 3/9-3/22 Photo Insp. -- I was inspired by the photo's colorful outdoor setting.
6.   A Place To Start March #3 (3/1-4/3): Pick a Shape -- #1/8 Rectangle (my page spread is that shape, so is each page of the spread)
7.   Stamplorations March Stencil Challenge: AAG -- #1/3 I stenciled the mountains, vines, stitching and clouds (and used Stamplorations' For the Birds die)
8.   Inky Paws Challenge #143: Color Challenge -- #1/3  I've used all the colors and I've used Newton's Nook products: Mountains stencil, Light String stencil, Cottage Garden dies and stamps
10. Happy Little Stampers March Stencil Challenge: AG -- I stenciled the mountains, vines, grass lines  and clouds.
14. Scrapping 4 Fun #187: Stitching Real or Faux  -- #1/3 My faux stitching is stenciled in green paint.
15. MAWTT #128: Spring Is Coming! -- #1/3
17. Colour Crazy Craft Challenge Week 9: AG with Colouring -- #1/2  I've used Promarkers, Pitt India Ink Pens, Flair Pens, Gel Pens, Smooch Ink, acrylic paints, Wink of Stella and Stickles to colour my spread.
18. The Library Challenge #78: Garden Birdwatcher's Bible -- I was inspired by the cover's birds and  Spring/Nature/Outdoors vibe.
19. 613 Avenue Create #3 March 2021: AG + Opt. Slider Card -- #1/8  I don't do slider cards (I do have some Lawn Fawn slider stamps/dies, but I don't have that Round Tuit yet). So I'm playing under the Anything Goes category

  8. Hello Aimeslee. I think this is the first time I have visited your blog.
I first of all got massively distracted by your extensive list of materials (what was "Wink of Stella"? and went off to Amazon to find that one where I found the Wink and lots of other fascinating pens too, then got further distracted by your list of challenge sites.
Back to your art which is amazing, so much to look at and a really great colourful overall picture.
I love the purple shiny paper mountains and the letters of "SPRING" and the girl with the hair bunches holding The (beautiful) Single Flower.
And there is a sweet bunny and a fox.
Thanks very much for a great entry on my AJJ challenge.

  27. These are such wonderful pages. I can't imagine how long it took to do these. So much work, but so worth the effort. I have always thought about making some king of book, but don't even know where to start. Maybe, I will think about doing a 12X12 book for the images that I have been coloring lately. I don't exactly know what to do with them. Putting the in a book with designed pages might work. I got your package. Thank you. I love all the art stamps. I may use them to make a card for my art teacher daughter-in-law.
