Here we go it's Monday. I am dedicating my November creativity time to Christmas holiday cards and I am doing things just a bit differently to better utilize time and energy. I'm only going to do the card fronts until I get like a dozen. Then dedicate a weekend to finishing backs and insides. Reason is, I want to use up scraps, but like on this card, I only have strips of these papers left. So I'll put them in a bag and use them to do a herringbone weave or some such with them to make the back mat. Anyway, that's my plan, just to do the fronts for now.
Papers: Bazzill, SU, Springhill card stocks, Crafters Companion shimmer cs, foil wrapping paper
Images: Beccy's Place Digital stamp set Finn's Bells
Inks: Promarkers, printer
Dies: Spellbinders Classic Circle
Other: Wink of Stella, paper snowflakes
I used the current sketch at Fezziwig's Festive Frolics, resizing it to 6x6 and then turning it 90 degrees. The "ho ho hum" part of the sentiment replaced the 3 elements at bottom left.
A final view to try to show you the shine coming off of this card. I took several and this is best one, difficult to photograph that. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great evening! XOX
MY CHALLENGE PLAYLIST:
2. Beccy's Place: 8th Annual Month of Holiday Cards -- B for Bird, Bells, Blue and Boy (Finn) and I used a Beccy's image.
3. Outlawz Color Tuesdays 10/20-11/2 Monochrome Blues
7. 12 Months Christmas Link-Up #71: AG + Opt. For the Boys -- Option played. This card is suitable for giving a male.
Great card Aimeslee and a fantastic way to use up your scraps.
ReplyDeleteI like your plan Aimeslee, great idea to make all the toppers first so you can use up some of your offcuts. They accumulate so quickly! You've done an awesome job on this card, I love the design, especially the way you've cut apart the sentiment. All the little snowflakes are beautiful and the silver paper adds a wonderful shine to your project. Love it!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Beccy
