Whoo Said Boo?

hELLo and happy Thursday to you! Honey and I still feeling Blaaaah, but as we are retired and quite lazy about it, it's not impacting anything other than the speed of my card making! heehee Casa Winans was a bit anxious today because our Houston Astros had to win tonight to stay in the baseball play-offs. And win they did! So, all was well that ended well! We play the Yankees Saturday night beginning the next round. Go 'Stros!

I'm playing 4 color challenges with orange. My Halloween card is orange and white for Double D's current challenge, and shades of orange for More Mixed Media, Outlawz and IkeWorld's challenges.

I have used Bugaboo's Stella Says Sketch 716 sized to A2, and I have used one of Bugaboo's digital stamp images called Halloween Peeker Cat. And for Di's Snippet challenge, I used a snippet scrap from my Lawn Fawn patterned paper collection on my card front (the diagonal stripes strip is leftover from another project) and a snippet from the front used on the back behind my siggie stamp.

Stash items: Ribbon,  Brad, Polychromos white wax pencil, embossing powder

I colored my image with ProMarkers and blended my white wax pencil along the outer edges of the colored image and on the jack o'lantern's eyes and mouth. I find that a white wax pencil creates a smooth fade out of color, as well as helping areas stand out. I like to use pencils over markers whenever it is helpful. If you have colored with pencils, then you know you must cover every spot or you can see where you haven't. Using a marker of the same color first helps hide the skips. ;-))

Since I have so many Halloween stamps, I went a little nuts on the inside of this card, lol. I've used stamps by Crafty Secrets, Pink By Design and Inkadinkado. Plus one of the tiny bat die cut leftover from my last card. I have used orange copy paper inside, cut with the stitched rectangle die.

On the back of my card, I have used my My Favorite Things Siggie stamp on a Clear Dollar label die on leftover snippet from the front of my card.

One last look. My front sentiment is Pink By Design, heat-embossed and colored with my ProMarkers before cutting with Lawn Fawn's Everyday Sentiment Banner die. That cat is so cute as he is warily peeking out from the jack o'lantern. Sticking strictly to 1 color is no easy task for me, but I think I gave it a good attempt.
